Ledebouria socialis is in the Hyacinthaceae family

Origin: Southern Africa ~ Ledebouria socialis was formally known as Scilla violacea and was in the liliaceae family. It has little white flowers in winter. They are easy to propogate by separating small bulbs. Ledebouria socialis is very easy to grow. They require part shade to full sun in well drained soil. Allow to dry between waterings. Fertilize when actively growing. They are not frost tolerant. Bulbs should be kept above the soil. You can also grow this plant on a bright window sill.
