Crassula arborescens

This bush is about 4 years old, so this is what you can look forward to if you put ypurs in the ground. Their edges turn a mauvish purple color when in the sun. Bloom in late spring. They are winter growers and don't require much water in summer. If outdoors, fall through spring, water every 2 weeks or allow rain to water your plants. Propogate - stem cuttings. Crassula arborescens is a very different "Jade Plant" with large rounded silvery blue leaves with red margins. Grows to 10' in time and can be trained as a beautiful succulent bonsai. Pinkish white star-shaped flowers. The jade plant is a popular subject for bonsai training due to the inherent gnarly character of the thickened trunk and the ease with which it can be pruned and trained. Porous soil with adequate drainage. Bright light to full sun. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Protect from frost.
